Rainy day means … change plans and enjoy the new ones!
This was the last day of web summit 2018 and it started with a lot of rain. Watch the last speech of the president Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa. Very touching: the mission of all we want to create on Web is to create and sprout peace and freedom!
At the end the bad weather was good for me and my friend Fede: it seemed to us a signal to rest and be lazy! We just said, “let’s do simple things, have some cups of tea at home (a fantastic Airbnb in the city center btw) and fully enjoy little baby Sofia”! Time passed together is always full of mining and joy!
I met Federica the first time in 2008 when I was just relocated to Milan after 7 years in my special city Rome. I was not completely convinced I have made the right choice, so I was particularly confused at the time. She actually introduced me her mysterious city Milan and she helped me to understand the city and also to start loving it. Often we need time to fully get the right eyes to see the beauty- especially if it is a bit hidden!
We planned our trip to Sintra but more important for me was to realize that – after 5 days with baby Sofia (of 2 months and 1/2!) – I was a bit more confident and I understood her feelings and needs quicker and better. My first experience as auntie for such a long period was amazing!!
We had dinner in a romantic and elegant Lebanese restaurant called Za Atar, that was our second choice but we liked a lot. As often happen, be prepared to change plans and be flexible to try new things make you find out better solutions or experiences! I ended the day at Foxtrot pub drinking a cocktail called painkiller with rum, coconut, pineapple, and orange
