Sierra de Sintra and the sense of friendship
Friday was fully dedicated to Sintra, the famous town at 1 hour of train form Lisbona-Rossio station, and in particular to visit the Park and palace de la Pena. The palace and the Cultural Landscape of Sintra were classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We also visited the “Valles de los Lagos” and the “Chalet de la condesa d’Edla”.
The Pena Park contains over 200 hectares of forested walkways and hidden paths that surround the Pena Palace. The grounds are tastefully in keeping with the natural scenery of the region, but skilfully incorporates over 2,000 varieties of plant life, with many non-native species.
We wanted to spend our last night together in our favorite restaurant Santelmo – and we loved their octopus and prawns potatoes and spinach cake. We feel always at home when we came back there! It’s always far beyond our best expectation.
This holiday was full of happiness and peaceful moments: with a mix of some lazy days and other active ones. But the most important thing for me was to listen and share our new lives and thoughts about them. We opened our hearts to explain our new big choices: Fede and Luca new role as parents and my new life in Valencia. Feel free to share everything – with the certainty not to be judged – is what make so special and important friendship.
