Last day in Lisbon has come
This rainy day started with a lovely breakfast at Mesa com Pao and then we walked in the Bairro Alto and we made a ride into the famous Santa Justa elevator! I love the views from the top of the Lisbon hills.
And in general, I started to like “elevating myself” and see reality from another point of view. From above you have a better view and in general a different perspective: you can see things and situations without involving yourself too much – and I think that this distance makes me feel better. I choose with more consciousnesses when I want or feel to be involved more and when I want simply to be an observer not participant (as I remember from cultural anthropology classes at university!). Even in discussions or meetings I don’t have anymore a sense of rush to say my point of view (often the ego that want to prove that is interesting and clever!), but I enjoy more listening to what others think – our beliefs are influenced by the society and country we lived or are living in. And that’s why I like so much traveling and meeting people and listening to locals… to understand cultures and collapse my certainties!! “Struggle can find no foothold when confronted with gentleness because conflict can only exist when fed by two opposing forces”
This was for sure a special week – We deserve this kind of holidays & I really hope to see my friends Fede e Luca with baby Sofia next year, for the third consecutive year in Lisbon in November: as we know at least other 9 Web Summit will take place in Lisbon (10 years deal – Web Summit to stay in Lisbon until 2028 as part of new €110m deal)….. I love you, dear friends!!
The flight had a surprise: TAP offers red Portuguese wine ?!! This time landing in Valencia was different from July when I relocated here after two years in London. Now I feel it’s my city with the light, sounds and energy I really like and I’m comfortable with. I couldn’t wait to get home and hug the sweetie cat Rufino. Felling well here coming back from a travel is another thing that confirms that my choice was right for me!
